The Mozambique Baboon are known to be one of the calmest of the Baboon Tarantulas and would make a good starter Old World species.

Heterometrus is also known as the Giant Forest Scorpion. When threatened the Giant Forest Scorpion is most likely to pinch with it's pedipalps. The sting is not considered medically significant and is said to comparable to that of a hornet. The Asian Forest Scorpion requires a hide (we use cork-bark) and may burrow to some extent. They can be defensive/aggressive with other members of it's species. Please use caution when keeping H. spinier in groups.
