It is wonderful to experience the incredible transformation from a tiny sling to an extremely large spider. With each molt its change in size is almost unbelievable. Incredible prey drive the "LP" will not dissapoint come feeding time. The LP is docile yet it can be skittish. Salmon Pink birdeaters are hardy and can make a good first tarantula. The Orange Baboon Tarantula or "OBT" is a fierce and colorful Old-world known for it's comically bad attitude. Adults will often hold their ground and attempt to scare off intruders with it's threat display of rearing up on it's back legs, smacking the ground and "hissing." Spiderlings are skittish and not yet showing defensive behavior. The one and only "OBT" is in my top 5 favorite tarantula species.
